Job summary
The AWS Security Assurance Services (AWS SAS) team works with our largest enterprise customers to address their privacy compliance requirements using cloud native technology, while adopting scalable security and risk control measures across their infrastructure. At AWS SAS, we are hiring technical privacy experts with a background in security and compliance to lead a variety of customer focused engagements that include architecture and compliance guidance. This role will specialize in privacy advisory work for well-known frameworks, standards and regulations as well as risk management methodologies. You will pioneer technically excellent privacy solutions supporting customer initiatives that are meaningful to their business. Building on those experiences you’ll collaborate AWS service teams on new features, innovate with new technologies and explore new challenges.

Key job responsibilities
• Expertise - Lead teams to help partners and customers understand the opportunities for cloud technology to handle privacy requirements in key market verticals and regulated industries, such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and energy.

• Solutions: Scope and lead on-site engagements with partners and customers. This includes leading pre-sales conversations, understanding customer security and compliance requirements to propose, build, and deliver packaged offerings or custom solution engagements.

• Delivery: Engagements include short on-site projects leading to architecture or compliance roadmaps, architecture guidance, gap assessments, etc. Engagements will include assessments and reporting on various aspects of a customer's security and compliance posture.

• Insights: Collaborate with AWS engineering, support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.

This role requires privacy thought leaders that understand how to leverage deep technical skills in solving complex problems with our largest AWS customers.


About the team
The AWS SAS team is a team of technical leaders solving compliance challenges for customers as they adopt AWS services. A team of innovative builders bridging the gap between the technical implementation and the control requirements.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
  • 5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
  • 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
  • 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience
