We're protecting tens of thousands of endpoints across multiple cloud and on premise environments. As a Cybersecurity Engineer you'll have the opportunity to work with industry leading technologies at scale to protect our products from an always evolving threat landscape. This hands-on position will be responsible for our end-to-end endpoint security controls and collaborate with other cross-functional teams to ensure central cybersecurity solutions are effective and in alignment with Nielsen’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, build, configuration and maintenance for internal cybersecurity functions including: system monitoring, technology integrations, infrastructure & configuration as code, and ETL.
  • Continuous development and improvement of cybersecurity service delivery with ChatOps.
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance on the strategy and implementation of automation/ SOAR use cases.
  • Lead the migration of on-prem cybersecurity workloads to AWS serverless.
  • Discover opportunities and implement automation to drive efficiencies across technologies and processes within the cybersecurity organization.
  • End to end ownership of the security architecture and engineering team’s CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
  • Development of infrastructure as code for deployment and configuration of cybersecurity technology both on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Development of architecture diagrams and documentation for cybersecurity CI/CD pipelines and share best practices throughout the organization.
  • Remain current on cybersecurity technology, vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
  • Review performance, availability, and capacity metrics of internally and externally hosted services and service components to compare with service agreements.
  • Troubleshooting escalated cybersecurity endpoint, data, and network problems.
  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade cybersecurity measures to protect enterprise data and infrastructure

Qualigications

  • Experience with a variety of operating systems including Windows, Linux and UNIX.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing standards and controls (AWS,GCP, Azure).
  • Advanced scripting/ automation experience (Python, Shell, Bash, Ansible).
  • hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management tech (Git).
  • Proficient in developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code and related technologies (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, UBA, XDR.
  • Experience providing and validating security requirements related to information system design, implementation and business processes.
  • Knowledge of common information security standards, such as: ISO, CIS, NIST.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate technical details in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Security certification such as SANS/GIAC, CISSP, CEH, OSCP
