We are looking for our Head of Information Security to form and lead an information governance team, reporting directly to our CTO. Your team will create and drive a world-class information governance program working alongside tech teams and wider business units.

What you will focus on

• Develop Blueground’s strategy on information governance for the next 2+ years.
• Build and lead a team of information security professionals to execute the provisions of the information governance program.
• Partner with our amazing product development teams.
• Elevate awareness and knowledge in the company around information security through training.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure adequate access control measures concerning both personnel equipment as well as cloud-based software.
• Assess, purchase and manage information security and compliance software.
• Oversee our compliance with relevant data protection regulations and ensure lawful, fair, and transparent processing of personal data.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in managing/directing information or cybersecurity projects.
• Experience with both IT and cloud software security.
• Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders to design solutions that bring optimal security benefits.
• Solid understanding of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA.
• Has implemented at least one of AICPA SOC 2, NIST SP 800-53, ISO/IEC 27001.
• Bonus: Prior experience as Head of Security for a publicly traded company.
