Our security team is growing. The Product Security team is responsible for making sure Atlassian products and services are safe. We are looking for a great Product Security Operations Manager who thrives on managing a team of security practitioners in operating and supporting security tooling.
Your responsibilities will include managing and mentoring a team of security practitioners, operating the Product Security team’s tooling, responding to questions from software developers about security vulnerabilities, and executing security projects to increase operational efficiency. You must have an interest in working with colleagues to understand our security tooling and improve its efficiency and effectiveness.
More about our teamWe are a small focused group who is committed to protecting the security of our customers and of Atlassian itself. We work both independently and in collaboration with development teams as we assess and mitigate security issues in our products.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• 3+ years working in security
• 3+ years managing a team
• A solid understanding of web application security
• Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure
• An ability to reason about security decisions
• Experience leading projects from start to finish
• An ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to engineers who know way more than you about their code

It's great, but not required, if you have:
• Prior security operations experience
• Published contributions to the security community
• Presentation experience at industry events
