Corvus is seeking a Cyber Claims Adjuster to join its growing team reporting to its Claims Manager and working alongside the Risk + Response team. This individual should have significant experience handling claims and a familiarity with the breach response process. 

This role will allow the individual to shape their career in the cyber industry while simultaneously shaping a growing InsurTech startup with Corvus. Prepare to work alongside talented individuals to assist in building procedures and programs to effectively handle breach response and improve the claims handling experience.  The individual should be highly motivated and excited to build thought leadership in the cyber claims industry. 

 

Role Specific

  • Work closely with clients, external legal advisors, specialist vendors, market leaders and brokers ensuring that the highest standards of service are maintained.
  • Candidate will be accustomed to the handling of Cyber and Tech claims and will have a working appreciation of the practical application of first and third-party coverages, reserving evaluations, cyber risk management considerations and, the roles and responsibilities of vendors that are typically utilized following a cyber claim notification.
  • Liaise with respective Underwriters, Claims Manager and Legal Manager on wording/policy issues, expert panels and provide claims info.
  • Attend client meetings as appropriate.

 

Risk Management

  • Accountable for the effective management of owned risks or controls as detailed in the company’s Risk Framework.
  • Works with your manager to ensure that risks associated with own role are understood and managed.
  • Assists in identifying and implementing processes to control risks particularly with own role.
  • Responsible for reporting any existing or new risks, as well as significant control failings/weaknesses or events that may arise, to the underwriting team or your manager.

 

Compliance

  • Maintains an understanding of and complies with all relevant FCA / PRA / Lloyd’s regulatory requirements and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Complies with all relevant company policies and procedures at all times.

 

Conduct

  • In performing your role, you are required to pay due regard to the interests of Corvus’ customers to ensure they receive fair treatment at all times.

Competencies: 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Reliable, determined, hardworking and ambitious.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated - ability to work individually as well as part of a team.

 

Experience:  

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Lloyd’s claims adjuster in a lead/agreement party role.
  • Specific and relevant cyber experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of CLASS/ECF 2 and claims reporting systems preferable.
  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferable.
  • Prior insurtech experience preferable.

 

Qualification/Course Requirements:

  • Professional (CII) and/or legal qualification is an advantage but not essential.
