Team Description:Kitware is actively seeking a full-time Information Information Security Manager that will direct a team in protecting company information through security policies and procedures, engineering security architecture as well as permissions management, application and system security software, patching, automation, and incident response.

In This Position You Will:

  • Develop strategies and cybersecurity plans with the IT and Compliance departments to address current and future security needs; recommend improvement to security infrastructure and practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that relate to IT security.
  • Coordinate internal and external efforts to perform vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, and penetration testing to monitor for intrusions.
  • Monitor and maintain IT environment security, including installation and related usage of security tools, in accordance with industry best practices and standards.
  • Provide technical security guidance on mobile and wireless device usage.
  • Perform security incident tracking; lead resolution of security incident and vulnerability detections, communicate findings to senior management.
  • Conduct appropriate training sessions and communications to staff on IT security measures, safe data collection, and transfer procedures, security products, and general security responsibilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related field; at least 1 year of experience  required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in the areas of vulnerability assessment and detection, penetration testing, and network/firewall protection.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform as an individual contributor as well as to collaborate well with others.
  • Understanding of NIST SP 800-171 or other related security frameworks.
  • Due to contractual requirements, this position requires US Citizenship and requires a willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance.
