Security Specialist

AnaVation is seeking a reliable and task-oriented Security Specialist to support a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks.Work location will be at the customer site in Ft. Belvoir, VA. 
Responsibilities Include:·        Provide security support to the organization to include Secret Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations and industrial, information, personnel and physical security activities·        Coordinate, review, and process DD Form 254s ·        Conducting SCI Indoctrinations, give SCI access, and process System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR)·        Review and update Security Classification Guides (SCG)·        Oversee classified visitor and meeting activities·        Support Video Teleconferencing Capability (VTC), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) operations·        Transmit and receive classified materials via mail, fax, hand carry, or classified network·        Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Secret Security Clearance
• Minimum 3 years of relevant Security experience
• Experience using DoD and Army security systems such as Defense Information Security System (DISS) and Army Centralized Contracts and Security (ACCS)
• Experience processing DD Form 254s
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Must possess effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and organization skills
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management
• Travel requirements: Must be able to support periodic travel, as needed
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe

Desired Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance
• A Bachelor’s degree
• Military experience
• DoD Security Specialist certified
• Experience drafting military memorandums
• Familiar with OCONUS Security discipline
