About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team, ClearBank is Microsoft house (from endpoints, email all the way to our hosted solutions our customers enjoy and use every day). We are looking for someone who is comfortable with the vast array of Microsoft Managed Security and Infrastructure solutions to help us improve and deliver on the promise of providing security, availability and integrity to our clients who trust us with their transactions, data and availability. The successful candidate will assist with the secure management of a modern Microsoft Stack with a specific focus on end user devices and Microsoft cloud-based security tools. ClearBank is a cloud first company, and the successful candidate must demonstrate practical experience managing and using a variety of cloud-based Microsoft technologies. We’re looking for a candidate that can help us build out automations and controls in the same way we build and provide services to our customers.

Requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help define security tooling and configuration as IaC.

• Help develop and secure our Azure Infrastructure and develop detections against the hardening performed.
• Identify and promote best practices for multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, resilient, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Build automation playbooks to improve efficiency in the Security team.
• Define, build and maintain security dashboards used within multiple levels of the organisation.
• Enhance and maintain our Microsoft Security solutions through integrations.

• Act as an ambassador for Cybersecurity, promoting both good practices and the Cyber Security teams tools and services.
• Participate in our incident response team, including out-of-hours support where required.
• Have awareness of real-world cyber security threats and apply this to your work.
• As a member of the wider Security team; support operational priorities and assist others across the department where required.

Core Skills and Experience

• Good understanding of cyber security principles and best practices
• The ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
• Terraform

• Experience in Working and Securing Azure Environments.
• Knowledge and practical use of Powershell.
• Knowledge and practical use of Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge and practical use of Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills with logical thinking and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise responsibilities to effectively meet business needs.
