We are looking to hire our first Senior Manager for Information Security in our Bangalore location. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building and growing an information security capability and team in India. You will be a key contributor in establishing our first office in Bangalore, providing support and securing the business functions we will house in our India office.  
You will partner with Information Security leadership to develop frameworks and processes across all security domains, including application security, infrastructure security, enterprise security, data security, security risk, security compliance, threat detection, and threat response. In addition, you will cultivate, manage, and lead teams of individual contributors who will fulfill and execute these frameworks and processes. Furthermore, you will establish clear and robust bi-directional communications mechanisms to ensure both US and India based security functions are aligned and streamlined.
This role reports to our Director of Information Security.

  • AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational storage, and data warehousesInfrastructure-as-code, Terraform
  • Tooling to support our CI/CD and SDLC processes
  • iOS, Android, web apps, and backend web services
  • Runtime integrations with various third party business partners
  • MacOS and Windows employee laptops
  • BYOD mobile
  • Cloud based employee directory and productivity tools
  • A large set of other SaaS tools
  • Financial regulatory and compliance programs such as SOX and SOC 2

What you will be doing:

  • Develop communication pathways between US and India personnel for efficient alignment and information sharing.
  • Provide an inclusive and supportive working environment for your team, and support and foster the career growth of your team members.
  • Define, measure, and report metrics on the health and maturity of your security domain areas.
  • Maintain backlogs of security risk remediation and reduction work and collaborate with leaders of other departments to execute major, cross-functional risk reduction projects.
  • Establish and maintain a security tooling budget.
  • Adhere to security compliance requirements and participate in security audits.
  • Partner with other US-based security domain leaders on strategic planning.

What you should bring:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in the security industry.
  • A bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science.
  • Experience building a security program and protecting digital business assets in cyberspace.
  • Experience growing and managing a diverse and inclusive team of individual contributor security engineers and/or analysts.
  • Strong technical proficiency in the in-scope security domains.
  • Ability to tailor oral and written communications appropriately to a wide range of audiences, including executives, managerial peers, technical and non-technical individual contributors, vendors, regulators, external partners, and end-users.
  • A compass for navigating risk vs reward decision-making.
  • Ability to deliver business solutions that our non-security peers can seamlessly leverage to bake security into our products and processes.
  • Ability to evangelize ideas and motivate team members and peers to action.
  • A knack for identifying inefficiencies in organizational processes, taking ownership of organizational issues, and driving solutions.
