Information Security Analyst (ISA)

At ItsaCheckmate, Inc., we are excited to initiate our search for a new position called Information Security Analyst (ISA). An ISA monitors and protects the IT environment via policies, procedures, and practices. If you are new to the security field or a recent graduate, we are interested in speaking with you. The ISA role is a high-trust position for a candidate who can add value from day one. The ISA is a person who can work calmly under pressure, double-checks their work, is a team player, and is respectful to others. In addition, the ISA takes 100% responsibility for their actions and is a person of high integrity.

Primary role and responsibilities

• Application and software security monitoring (emails, alerts, logs, audit trails, and reports).
• Conducting security assessments, GAP assessments, and security audits per our schedule.
• Managing the Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Conducting Security & Privacy training for new hires.
• User Account Management (Review Access).
• Learning and applying NIST 800-53 to our policies, procedures, and practices.
• Learning and applying Time Management & Project Management skills.
• Providing IT and Security support to our global employees using our ticketing system.
• Able to be on-call two weekends a month using our Pager Service.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience.
• A service oriented mindset.
• A hunger to learn and open to lots of training.
• Good communication skills.
• A good working computer, webcam, and internet connection.
• Research or Analytical skills would be good.
