Our consultants are skilled technical and consultative resources expected to be strong in both technical and soft skills. A Consultant must be a proven self-starter with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. Establish & maintain productive and respectful relationships with the delivery team, practice management, and client management team.You will actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. Deliver timely engagements and works closely with Practice Directors to drive training and education, career development, performance development, and collaboration across the team.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • 5-7 years of related work experience, required with 4+ years of experience in Security Architecture and/or Engineering
  • Experience building and deploying using Continuous Integration and Delivery techniques with Agile practices like Scrum, Kanban preferred
  • Experience architecting solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform 
  • Resident cloud infrastructure subject matter expert researching, implementing and communicating Infrastructure-as-code solutions across the Enterprise
  • Proficiency in scripting programming languages – Python, JSON, Ruby, C#, Powershell, YAML
  • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible) preferred
  • Effectively applies knowledge and skills of software development and testing to solve a range of problems
  • Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes, secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments
  • Experience with secrets management platforms (e.g. HashiCorp Vault) preferred
  • Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc)
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services
  • Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies
  • Experience and exposure to threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies
  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated
  • Technical writing experience
  • Mentors less experienced consultants
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations such as ISSA.
  • Obtain and maintain top tier vendor certification
  • Complete administrative project tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting
  • Expert knowledge of using Microsoft Office
