Information Security Analyst, Security Assurance Team

The mission of MongoDB’s Information Security team is to reduce security risks, protect our user community and maintain trust in our products and services.We are looking for an information security professional to join our Security Assurance team, which is a sub-team within MongoDB’s global Information Security team. In this role you will grow into a trusted security expert to our customer-facing teams and help them provide our customers with transparent, actionable information needed to assess our products and services. This role requires a fast learner with strong communication skills. Since MongoDB’s products are technical in nature and intended to be used by software engineers, an understanding of how product security features map to security controls is vital to success. 

This role can be based in Dublin or London, on an in office or flexible basis, or may be based remotely in certain European locations

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior analysts in responding to security questions and questionnaires from customers and prospects
• Help our solutions architects complete pre-sales risk assessments
• Assist our attorneys with reviews of customer agreements
• Proactively maintain knowledgebase of responses to security questions
• Work with colleagues to coordinate responses to high-profile supply chain events
• Provide actionable feedback from the field to our Product Management team
• Collaborate with internal teams on other projects as necessary

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in Information Security
• Strong understanding of public cloud technologies particularly IAM, virtual networking and encryption as well as how to apply defense-in-depth techniques to protect data in cloud storage
• Understanding of GRC principles
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and SOC 2
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic project management skills

Nice to Haves:

• Prior experience working for an IaaS, PaaS or SaaS company
• Experience with pre-sales risk assessment and due diligence reviews
• CISSP, CCSP, CCSK or GPCS in good standing

Success in this Role Means:

• Within 3 months - Have a strong understanding of MongoDB’s product range and be able to triage security questionnaires and pre-sales risk assessments
• Within 6 months - Work closely with our sales teams and solution architects to help them move deals with large strategic customers to a close
• Within 12 months - Become a trusted expert on all aspects of the security of our products and services
