Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management

Role Description

The Dropbox team is growing, and we’re looking for a security engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be part of a small team dedicated to performing Vulnerability Management at Dropbox. We are looking to hire junior team members to help us expand and improve our tooling. Responsibilities

• #BeWorthyOfTrust: Partner with teams to improve the security bar at Dropbox in order to protect customer data
• You will learn to automate security tasks with senior team members in order to expand Vulnerability Management tooling at Dropbox
• You will learn to perform structured security risk assessments of current and new vulnerabilities and move vulnerabilities through the life-cycle of prioritization, mitigation, and remediation
• Contribute to security strategies for new vulnerability management initiatives
• Contribute to delivery of cross team initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotation for vulnerability security issues

Requirements

• An interest in cyber security, with some self-study or formal education
• Familiarity with scripting (Python preferred but not required)
• Related experience is a plus (work related, extra curricular, volunteer, self directed study)
• A curiosity to study the current environment and partner with teams to improve their security

Check out our blog post on this topic and more here. For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $125,800 - $148,000 - 170,200. This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.  Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
