Cyber Security Practice Lead


CRI Advantage (CRI) is a growing IT Services Provider currently seeking an experienced Cybersecurity specialist who will serve as the Cybersecurity Practice Lead (CPL) and help us build and expand our cybersecurity offerings and protect our customers. The ideal candidate will possess the desire and ability to create and build cybersecurity solutions for the commercial market space. In addition to building the cybersecurity practice, this position will also function in a technical pre-sales role. Developed offerings will fit into CRI’s existing consulting services and managed service delivery models with a specific emphasis in commercial markets throughout the US.


The CPL will report to the VP of Solutions and will be responsible for service offering definition, business case analysis and technical pre-sales. This position will work closely with internal staff at all levels, strategic partners and clients. Preference will be given to candidates in the Pacific Northwest Region. However, this position has the flexibility to be remote and the selected candidate may work from anywhere within the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead security offerings related to endpoint security, network security, email security, cloud security, DevSecOps/Application security, SOC design, incident management and forensics, and offensive security.
  • Work with operations managers to determine technical staff assignment to perform assessments, requirements gathering, proof-of-concept, technical workshops, and oversee and support the engagement delivery.
  • Champion sales enablement around the analysis of client processes, understand client business landscapes, define requirements, and deliver innovative solutions and strategies.
  • As a member of the CRI’s Solutions Division, this position will also collaborate with other technology practices to develop integrated solution offerings for our clients.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve a comprehensive security architecture and security intelligence vision and strategy, which includes creating a product and services portfolio and go-to-market strategy.
  • Work with the VP of Solutions for the planning and the establishment of strategic, financial, and sales goals.
  • Work with Solutions Division leadership to review the proposed service offering lifecycle and look for areas of improvement.
  • Help identify additional strategic and complex multi-year engagements.
  • Ensure optimal client satisfaction with each service offering.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and act as a trusted advisor by collaborating with technical leaders within our client organizations and key security partners.
  • Provide advice and insight on technical career training programs for internal cybersecurity professionals.
  • Assist with technical scoping and Statements of Work (SOW) for assigned accounts.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive technical and information security experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant cyber security solutions: assessments, remediation, managed services, penetration testing, and remediation.
  • Understanding of commercial business environments and cybersecurity challenges within organizations.
  • Ability to think outside the box and develop solutions to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks, while remaining risk and objective focused.
  • Ability to approach customer with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliver.
  • Ability to cope with change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with an ability to present technical issues to C-Level Executives and non-technical audience.
  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Understanding of basic business and financial operations.
