SciTec, Inc. is a dynamic small business with the mission to deliver Advanced Sensor Data Exploitation technologies and Science Instrumentation Capabilities in support of National Security and Defense. SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Senior DecSevOps Engineer to support programs focusing on low-latency data ingest, processing, fusion, and tracking for exploitation of remote sensing systems in Boulder, CO. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with systems architectures, support and security, along with deploying systems and supporting peer developers. The role is performed as part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment consisting of Scientists, Engineers, and Developers.

Requirements

This role is responsible for systems architecture, support and security, along with deploying systems and supporting peer developers.

  • Be a subject matter expert on container orchestration technologies, microservices development, and DevSecOps solutions and best practices
  • Deploy Kubernetes on prem and to clouds
  • Design and deploy containerized workload solutions on Kubernetes
  • Design containerized cloud application platform solutions for distributed application architecture
  • Integrate container platforms with automated continuous integration CI and continuous delivery CD pipelines
  • Guide developers and operation team members to learn best practices in DevOps and container technologies and processes
  • Apply new technologies frameworks or methodologies to containerized application development and deployments.
  • Architect overall, comprehensive, and efficient practices

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:

  • Ability to design new CI/CD pipeline architecture and process
  • Automation & Orchestration experience using Helm and Konvoy
  • Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment
  • Experience with functional or imperative programming languages - e.g., Python, C++, or Java.
  • A strong dedication to code quality, automation and operational excellence

The salary range for this position is $108,000 to $157,000; however, SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
