Manager, Engineering - Vulnerability Management

Datadog is looking for an Engineering Manager to build and grow the Vulnerability Management program in our growing multi-provider ecosystem and take its capabilities to the next level. You’ll be involved in every step of the process - defining organization, strategy, and executing while hiring world-class engineers. You will also contribute to build and integrate security solutions and framework for the next generation risk based vulnerability management that helps secure Datadog, as you work closely with your team to explore and execute on the exciting vision of data driven Vulnerability Management program at Datadog.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and lead a team of talented software and security engineers who are responsible for building solutions and framework at scale to aggregate, prioritize, track, report, and remediate vulnerability across Datadog ecosystem
• Develop strategic roadmaps that align the program and team development to business requirements and risk reduction
• Engineer solutions at scale to aggregate, prioritize, track, report, and remediate vulnerabilities across Datadog ecosystem
• Use metrics to provide insights and drive the success of the program
• Research and prototype new ideas, test open-source or commercial vulnerability management tools
• Partner with teams across security and engineering to integrate existing solutions and building better security posture for Datadog

Who You Are:

• Proven leader in building out diverse and inclusive software and security engineering driven vulnerability management teams
• Experienced in software engineering and/or information security, especially in any of the following areas: software engineering, vulnerability management, data engineering, DevSecOps 
• Motivating, kind and humble people leader who focuses on growth and happiness for your team. You have the ability to grow talent by providing a proper mentorship and performance management environment while prioritizing empathy
• Comfortable with taking ambiguous requirements and creating a plan, with measurable and tangible outcomes, as well as getting buy-in on the plan from stakeholders
• Comfortable architecting, developing (Golang, Python), deploying and operating cloud native ( AWS, GCP or Azure) distributed systems to solve problems at scale, who also understands the value of driving efficiencies through automation, orchestration and partnerships with external teams
• Experienced in working and communicating effectively in a fast-paced, high growth, distributed organization
• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
