SIXGEN would like to add an ambitious, dedicated, and self-motivated Information System Security Officer to our team.

Job Location: Huntsville, AL or Quantico, VA


Responsibilities:

Ensures system integrity and network availability while hardening internal security programs.

Implement information security principles in network and operation systems.

Responsible for a cohesive system security perimeter and environment.

Reviews internal response to security incidents.

Assesses the performance of security controls.

Identifies vulnerabilities and responds accordingly.

Prepares Certification and Accreditation documentation, System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports and Plans of Action.

Maintain repository for personnel required certs and system accreditation and documents

Analysis of end user requirements for networks, hardware and software.

Requirements

Robust knowledge of Information Assurance Technologies

Risk Management Framework process expert.

Experience as an Information Systems Security Officer, Information Systems Security Engineer.

Familiarity with the Federal Information Security Management Act, NIST800-53 and other guidelines.

Experienced and technically capable of executing policy compliance in accordance with requirements.

Working knowledge of IA security controls and guide requirements.

Knowledge of varied operating systems and networks.

experience in RiskVision or Xacta is a plus.


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Security, Engineering, Information Technology or Cybersecurity. 8-10 years of specialized experience can replace degree requirement.


Clearance: Active TS Clearance [SCI/Poly Eligible]
