We are a Security company and Auth0's Security team is in the privileged position of supporting a Security-first culture for a company that wants to make the internet safer. 
We are looking for a technical and hands-on Security DevOps Engineer who is passionate about building and maintaining tools and services. The successful candidate for this position will be the person responsible for the critical tools and services the security team depends upon.

In this role you will:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports internal security tools and services.
  • Implement custom software solutions to bridge gaps in existing security tool integrations.
  • Lead security vendor assessments, including validating requirements for integration with current tooling.
  • Collaborate with other teams to draft requirements for the tools and services supporting their operations.
  • Perform on-call duties to respond to availability issues with services and tools.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience writing clean, readable, and maintainable code (preference for Go, Node, or Python)
  • Experience writing infrastructure as code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc
  • Familiarity/experience with AWS services and security concepts
  • Excellent analytical thinking, time management, and coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience working on-call
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent OR 3-5 years working in a DevOps or Systems Administration role

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity/experience with container services (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, etc)
