Why we're hiring:

The Senior Security Incident Responder will be responsible for all aspects of the organisations response to security incidents.  They will lead a team of security incident responders and analysts. Mentoring, coaching and managing more junior team members to ensure that the team is highly skilled and highly motivated.

The role holder will also be responsible for reviewing, improving and maintaining a suite of security incident response procedures and playbooks.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Effectively manage security incidents, investigations, and forensic activities
  • Lead and motivate a small security incident response team
  • Maintain and improve incident response procedures and playbooks
  • Build stakeholder relationships within the organisation itself as well as with suppliers and outside agencies
  • Develop and manage a regular programme of cyber security incident simulations and exercises
  • Act as a mentor to more junior security incident responders

What you'll need:

Qualification Requirements (Desirable)

  • Computer Science Degree (desirable but not essential)
  • CISSP or similar
  • Certified Incident Handler or similar
  • Certified Forensic Analyst or similar

Skills / Experience Requirements

  • Significant experience of managing complex security incidents within a large multinational organization
  • Experience of leading security investigations and forensics
  • Experience of managing a security incident response team
  • Experience of managing supplier relationships and external stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with senior management
