Security Operations Intern

About the RoleUnder the guidance of the Cloud Security Manager, the Security Operations Intern will learn about Business Wire’s key products and service offerings while learning the organizations technology infrastructure and key application infrastructure. The intern will also learn security compliance objectives and best practices in the security operations field. This is a 2-month, paid, summer internship running from June to August 2022.  

Role Responsibilities

• Learn about the current API security posture
• Learn the current use of SAST, DAST, and SCA tools and work to ensure that these tools are utilized to their full potential
• Work on penetration tests targeting Business Wire public applications and APIs
• Learn to run a security assessment of the current SDLC and CI/CD processes

Skills and Qualifications

• Understanding of how what APIs are and how they work.
• Understanding of SDLC and CI/CD processes
• Basic knowledge of SAST/DAST/SCA tools or experience working with them
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or any other modern programming language
