Working at Atlassian
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we're able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location in Australia and New Zealand. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further. We're expanding our security intelligence team to help us defend Atlassian and our customers against real-world security threats as we scale. As a Security Intelligence Analyst you'll watch over the our corporate environment and Atlassian cloud services, building high-fidelity detections, responding to security incidents, and hunting for signs of compromise. More than that, you'll help to build new systems, develop automation and solve security problems you care about.
We would love for you to have coding skills, but more importantly, love security. You should have a solid understanding of network, system and application security. You will report to the Security Intelligence Manager.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Relevant work experience in security and incident investigation
  • Scripting / automation experience
  • Adept experience in threat hunting / malware analysis
  • Passion for collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience with SIEM software

It's great, but not required, if you have:

  • Published contributions to the security community
  • Written code to complete security tasks
  • Data analytics experience
  • Worked with large-scale cloud infrastructures
