Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity Analyst works in Pax8’s Security Operations team, Compliance Analysts and intermittently with all other departments, under the guidance of Security Operations leadership and senior staff.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform security tasks according to written and/or verbal instructions detailed by the Security Operations team
  • Contributes to meetings, special projects, and daily activities to support corporate environment
  • Research and maintain a current working knowledge of the evolving threat-scape, including new attack methodologies, threat vectors, and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and deliver knowledge base documentation, standard operating procedures, and training documentation for review by Security Operations
  • Proactively identify and initiate tasks and projects to improve the security posture of the environment
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to facilitate timely response to alerts and incidents

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a similar role
  • Unimpeachable integrity, character, courage, and honesty
  • Engineering mindset to develop & troubleshoot issues with an empirical & methodical approach
  • Self-starter mentality that defaults to action and thinks creatively on how to overcome challenges
  • Effective communication skills to interface with both internal teams and vendors on complex issues and enthusiastic timelines
  • Comfortable with remote communications technologies such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom video conferencing
  • Ability to develop and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Ability to secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to actively seek new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development opportunities
  • Ability to anticipate and adopt innovations in business-building digital and technology applications

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Security + or other entry level certificates

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $65,000 or more depending on experience

Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
