THE CHALLENGELever’s growing security team is looking for an experienced security engineer to build the next level of our defenses. The Security Engineer will work directly with security champions across the organization to further mitigate risks. Within the framework of our Information Security Management System, the security engineer will translate GRC requirements into practical solutions and propel Lever’s security maturity.

THE TEAMLever’s Security Team is small but growing. Lever’s senior management is committed to the security of Lever and fully supports the endeavors of the Security Team. The Security Engineer will report directly to the Director of Security and will shape the future of security engineering at Lever.

THE SKILL SET
- Experience in engineering in a business environment
- Knowledge of TTPs
- Experience in both red and blue teaming
- Unbridled curiosity and ambition combined with passion for learning and research
- Advanced security certification preferred
WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL
- Complete Ramp Camp, our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, and team.
- Survey the landscape to gain a deep understanding of the security challenges facing Lever
- Meet with stakeholders across departments to understand security needs
- Assist Director of Security in third party pen test from scope to issue resolution
WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Own the vulnerability management program and reporting dashboards and metrics
- Partnering with Engineering, align on incremental shift left plan in software development
- Create a project plan for implementation of a data driven security solution (e.g. SIEM, data lake, etc)
WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Implement data driven security solution
- Create project plan for increased network visibility
- Achieve 1 goal in shift left plan (eg open source vulnerability detection in IDE)
- Facilitate specialized security training for software developers
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Using data driven security solution, produce actionable reports for risk reduction activities
- Proactively monitor threats and produce threat dashboards
- Create and shape procedures for red team testing
