The Record by Recorded Future documents the darkest corners of the web. We are building the premier cybersecurity news publication that unflinchingly reports on hackers, defenders, and policymakers that lead the conversation in this fast-changing field. We are looking for a London-based reporter/editor who is eager to find cybersecurity stories that matter, report scoops and expand our international coverage, and help build the go-to source of news for this rapidly-growing industry.

What you’ll do as a Reporter/Editor:

  • Spot breaking cybersecurity stories and regularly produce high-impact scoops
  • Shape our daily news coverage, including writing stories about the most important cybersecurity stories in Europe
  • Produce crisp and concise edits on stories that can appeal to both technical and general audiences
  • Work effectively across platforms and teams
  • Attract top editorial talent and help build The Record’s reputation both internally and externally

What you’ll bring as the Reporter/Editor:

  • You’ll be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who can strive under pressure
  • Experience or familiarity reporting on cybersecurity is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Curiosity, perseverance, and resourcefulness
  • The flexibility to jump on breaking news stories on a quick deadline
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Based in London
