CSA+Capstone is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join the San Diego team supporting NAVWAR/PEO C4I program offices.  This impactful position directly supports the US Navy’s mission readiness.
This position is contingent upon award. 

Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity Engineers selected for these positions will prepare, implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. They may also assist the Government by performing the following functional duties independently:
  • Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network
  • Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
  • Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3 years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and data mining skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned duties.
  • Ability to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of drawing conclusions to address business problems.

Certifications

  • Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M
