11:11 Systems is looking for an experienced Network Security Analyst to aid in the management, deployment, and support of network security appliances within our Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate will be energetic, adaptable, detail oriented, and have extensive experience with network and security technologies and the Fortinet product set. This is a full-time position based in our Spokane, WA office and reporting to the Security Operations Center Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 support for managed security solutions including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, mail security, log aggregation and other security appliances
  • Observe incoming customer support tickets and respond to issues in accordance with documented Service Level Objectives
  • Provide on-call escalation and after-hours support on rotating schedule
  • Assist as an escalation point for customer requests and other tier 1 network security analyst questions
  • Perform the configuration, deployment, integration of security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with best practices
  • Identify and communicate security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives as requested via customer change requests
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer and company data
  • Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security
  • Maintain and audit operational configurations to ensure compliance with standard baselines; improve baseline configurations as new risks and threats emerge
  • Maintain working knowledge and comprehension of current threats, risks, and exploits through news, media, and industry
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

The following skills represent the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

  • 5+ years’ experience in network administration or information security
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Fortinet network and security products
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert 4 or higher certification required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, and partners
  • Extensive experience with network and security technologies, including IPv4, TCP/IP,LAN/WAN design theory, static/dynamic routing protocols, NAT, next-generation firewalls, secure email gateways, endpoint security, network access control, etc.
  • Working knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO, NIST, CIS, etc.

Preferred Skills

The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position:

  • Cross team process mapping/building
  • Business intelligence software, such as Tableau
  • Experience working with different types of requirements models: Use cases, user stories, wireframes, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and tools
  • Basic understanding of the concepts of data backup/replication
  • Obsessed problem solver
  • Good listener with low ego
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
