What will your typical day look like?
Investigations, litigations and complex regulatory matters – it’s just another day at the office for our Forensic experts. As an experienced Senior Manager, this is your opportunity to become a part of a thriving, innovative and industry leading Forensics team. We can provide you with the opportunity to help clients solve complex problems, access to state-of-the-art technology and a great team. The Deloitte Forensic team is highly regarded in New Zealand. We work across industry sectors with both a local and international reach. We are comprised of experts in the field of forensic accounting, investigations, risk, forensic technology, law enforcement and data analytics. We provide specialist advice to clients relating to fraud, corruption and regulatory investigations, and prevention, detection and review of misconduct.We are continuing to expand our national forensic practice and are seeking talented, highly motivated and innovative practitioners with strong managerial experience in the area of forensic accounting, investigations, integrity matters, regulatory enquiries, internal or external audit and/or disputes. You also need to be comfortable developing effective business relationships, building your network and growing our practice.In this role, you will lead and develop a high-performing team, supporting them to make an impact that matters and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service across fraud prevention and fraud investigation engagements. You will also be responsible for liaising with our Auckland based team to ensure they consistently deliver high quality work across digital forensic and discovery projects.

About the team
- We are a diverse team with diverse range of skill sets - amongst our team we have a keen mountaineer, an adventure motorbike rider and other hidden talents which you might discover.
- We have the largest risk advisory services team in the South Island with extensive knowledge in IT Advisory, Security Architecture, Cyber Risk, Forensic, Discovery, Governance, Risk Management and Internal Audit.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you! You are someone with:
- 7+ years of professional experience in investigations, forensic accounting, financial crime advisory, or litigation services in a professional service firm or in industry.
- A relevant University Degree, CA, CPA, CFE, MBA or other equivalent designation (completed or in progress) is a plus.
- Proven technical excellence who can manage and execute complex forensic projects such as; accounting and fraud investigations, counter-fraud advisory, regulatory enquiries and complex business litigation matters.
- Understanding or awareness of forensic tools and technologies, their purpose and functionality
- An understanding of a project life cycle: planning, scope, data collection, data analytics, data review, investigation and reporting.
- Experience with forensic tools and technologies, their purpose and functionality as well as hands on experience in order to analyse, review, investigate and report.
- Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management, balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities through effective planning, time management, delegation and supervision control.
- A track record of networking and building productive relationships with clients/third parties.
- Ability to effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders in a factual, clear and concise manner, both verbally and written
