TEAMThe security team at Woven Planet is on the cutting edge of many challenging security problems. We identify emerging security threats in autonomous vehicles and smart cities and help design more secure systems. We work closely with internal platform teams to provide a secure development environment through tooling and automation, allowing developers to innovate quickly without compromising security.  
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Do you have experience identifying and managing enterprise security and privacy risks end-to-end, identifying gaps in compliance? We are looking for an experienced information security risk manager who will help us plan and perform compliance and risk assessment activities pertaining to Woven Planet’s businesses and engineering work. You will identify risks and vulnerabilities by working with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds. You will work on assessing any security risks pertaining to external vendors and partners. In addition, you will help improve the privacy of customer data by conducting data governance activities across Woven Planet. Woven Planet Security demands high standards, so a passion and discipline around security and delivery is critical. A high level of ownership and accountability is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan/perform compliance and risk assessment activities for information systems and related processes. 
  • Ensure compliance for information security policies and regulatory requirements by conduct procedural and operational review of business processes and system controls 
  • Communicate and escalate compliance and risk issues to the appropriate department and/or level of management. 
  • Evaluate technology and business-related controls for integrating business and information system security and risk mitigation efforts. Coordinate and validate business risk justification documents for government programs
  • Work closely with other security leaders to create and maintain information security policies that are concise, actionable, and easy to understand for our customers.
  • Conduct third party or vendor security risk assessments
  • Perform data governance activities to ensure that Woven Planet’s businesses appropriately protect the privacy of customer data
  • Execute security audit programs to identify gaps in controls and processes and drive remediation efforts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience within Information Risk Management, IT audit or Security Governance function
  • 5+ years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., ISO27001-2, NIST CSF, CMMC)
  • Experience with multiple risk assessment methods including threat modeling and going beyond compliance adherence assessments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations in the US and EU
  • Experience in IT auditing and technical assessments of networks, operating systems, cloud environments
  • Experience performing third party vendor assessments
  • Hands-on experience in using GRC tools
  • 3+ years team management experience

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Experience building enterprise governance, risk, and compliance programs
  • Proven record of meeting CCPA and GDPR privacy requirements
  • Technical expertise in the security field, including cloud
