What You Will Do

The Head of Security is responsible for CoverGo's security as a whole and will report directly to CTO.

This role combines IT security, governance, policies, company certifications, hands-on responsibilities, and team management. The Head of Security will help to ensure that our internal and external services are secure and evolving rapidly at the same time. You will build and lead the team by example on how to build a secure cloud-first environment that people will love.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make complex distributed systems secure with an embedded security approach. We start from the ground and make all our daily operations secure relying on the latest technology.

• Be SME for security matters including incidents, data leaks, and communication with authorities
• Deploy advanced scanning tools
• Oversee SDLC like manage internal and developed systems security posture
• Defining and maintaining security policies
• Talk to customer’s security teams and help with Sec part of RFPs
• Lead company certifications like ISO, SoC2, HIIPA
• Oversee Google Workspace Security

Skills and Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and other compliance regulations
• Coming from the DefSec, Blue team
• Be passionate about security that works
• General experience in programming in one or more mainstream languages
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
• Ability to learn new technologies on your own
• Strong understanding of self-service in IT companies
• An innovative mindset, help us to shape the future of CoverGo with your own ideas
• Certificates are a huge plus
