SugarCRM has an immediate need for a temporary employee with 3+ years of experience as an Information Security Analyst.·       Length of assignment: 3-6 months, 40 hours per week·       Location:  U.S. - Home Based The Security Analyst Temp is tasked with creating and certifying defense in depth for SugarCRM. The Security Analyst Temp will employ their technical security skills to build/deploy key infrastructure security tools, respond to escalated security alerts, provide enterprise risk assessment, vulnerability remediation, and provide a source of security consultation and expertise for the business. The Security Analyst Temp will have, but is not limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:

Impact you will make in the role:

  • Maintain existing security controls and ensure compliance with targeted security and privacy frameworks
  • Record, monitor, report and organize the remediation of any security incidents
  • Detect, record, report and monitor emerging security threats or reported vulnerabilities and ensure mitigating actions are taken
  • First responder to security event reports via email, phone and ticket
  • Perform intrusion detection and escalation using technology
  • Assist in remediation of information security incidents, document and communicate findings
  • Maintain knowledge of information security policies and goals
  • Keep current on the current information security threat landscape and upcoming trends in security
  • Research, scope out and guide the implementation of new controls to enhance the organizations security posture

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience (2+ years)
  • 1 year of security experience required, 3 preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, network security, web application security fundamentals
  • Ability to manage parallel tasks and accurately document resolutions
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
