About the Security Team

Security at Mixpanel is not a “check-the-box” exercise. Our growing team is dedicated to understanding and managing security risks while enabling our engineering and product design partners to continue making world-class software. The team is looking for a security and privacy leader to partner with its world-class product and engineering teams.

About the Role

Mixpanel is seeking a dynamic Corporate Security Engineer to support our Information Security team that will help build and secure the platforms upon which our service runs and upon which our customers depend.

Responsibilities

• Define and defend Mixpanel’s network perimeter
• Drive frictionless solutions to secure a remote workforce
• Mature email security standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, email gateways) to enable business communications and mitigate phishing campaigns
• Advance Mixpanel’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategy
• Respond to host-based threats and orchestrate the remediation of asset vulnerabilities
• Assist with security risk assessment’s to support the use of third-party applications
• Improve secure authentication workflows (password policies, 2FA, IAP, SSO) across the organization
• Oversee Mixpanel’s SOC MSSP and respond to escalated security events

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Prior experience in one or more of the following domains: IT, Networking, Security
• A passionate and open individual with a tenacity for domain ownership who can translate strategic ideas into mature projects
• Someone who understands security as a culture and can serve as a force multiplier through building cross-functional relationships and knowledge sharing
• A strong grasp of the enterprise security demands present in a fast-paced cloud-native environment
