We’re looking for a Director, Information Security to help evolve the long-term infrastructure and security processes of Pager. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with the various departments to implement and manage security infrastructure. Do you have a strong understanding of industry best practices, like HIPAA and HITECH, and know how to effectively weave compliance standards into security protocols? We want to hear from you! 

Responsibilities:

  • Build upon our security program and security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements.
  • Manage the process of gathering, analyzing and assessing the current and future threat landscape, as well as providing Leadership with a realistic overview of risks and threats in the enterprise environment.
  • Partner with VP of IT & Security on budget projections based on short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with security policies, as well as the enforcement of policies within the IT /Security department and Engineering teams. 
  • Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Hire and train new staff of security professionals as needed by the organization, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent work experience; an M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is preferred.
  • 7+ years in an information security role and at least 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Team player with great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to develop and guide information security team members.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Experience in system technology security testing.
  • Prior start-up experience with a “get stuff done” mentality
