The team 
Our IT, InfoSec, Cyber Risk & Business Ops team - is in the business of trust and reliability. This requires a smart, highly collaborative team who can identify, investigate, and implement new technologies to continue securely scaling our global business.

This position
Our Security Engineering Team is seeking a passionate, customer-focused, and eager security professional to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work and own everything security of a best-in-class, cloud-based platform on which DocuSign, customer, and partner applications run.

The Security Engineer role is responsible for integrating and developing security infrastructure to protect DocuSign critical environments and services. This is a deeply technical role and successful candidates will bring expert-level communications in security design and engineering processes and a complete background in cloud and infrastructure security foundations.

This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Security Engineering and Orchestration and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technologies to support DocuSign’s security initiatives
  • Work closely with other engineers to develop and introduce the latest software, cyber, enterprise, and mobile technologies into the enterprise
  • Support cloud security initiatives in Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Develop API system integrations using Python, JS, C#, and/or Powershell
  • Experience with cloud security configuration, container security, and application security understanding
  • Define and manage KPIs and other measurements to indicate the health of security-related programs
  • Perform on-call support of the security infrastructure systems

Basic qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud computing technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.), including software-, infrastructure, and platform-as-a-service, as well as public, private, and hybrid environments
  • 2+ years of Security Engineering or Operations (i.e. traditional security controls and technologies, such as antivirus, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, public key infrastructure, etc.) experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Information Security attacks and analytical mindset to detect cyber adversary tactics, techniques or procedures
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Application Security Top 10 OWASP and attack vectors, understanding in container security (i.e. Kubernetes, Docket, etc.), and capabilities with cloud security configuration and compliance

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Secret or Top-Secret Clearance or ability to complete Federal background investigation
  • Excellence in communicating business risk from cybersecurity issues
  • A proven deep background in technology design, implementation, and delivery
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate business needs into operational requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence technical and business leadership
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a manner that results in a definitive direction and results
  • Capacity to work on cross-functional projects
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar professional certification

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $105,400 - $145,000 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits.
