Position description:

We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer who is able to understand the security risks and objectives, as well as the company IT strategy in order to to improve the level of security of the cloud environments.

This person will be responsible for assessing our security configuration in the cloud, propose improvements or innovations to the current architecture and provide information required for compliance and audit processes. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, and not afraid to speak up or make suggestions. 

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Assess security risks over the infrastructure, architecture, applications and services that are part of the company’s technological cloud environments
  • Routinely perform security assessments in the internal environments in cloud
  • Implement and manage security services in the cloud
  • Analyse cloud architectures and applications design from a security perspective in order to give advice on security best practices and guidelines
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further security enhancement
  • Assist in the implementation of security processes such as vulnerability management over the cloud environments
  • Advise on DevSecOps controls implementation
  • Work with other teams to help prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols related to security
  • Interact with other teams, to ensure we are able to find the best security solutions for our needs, while also ensuring compliance with legal and private commitments.
  • Define monitoring and observability patterns for security events.
  • Handle security breaches according to defined policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff members are informed of the situation accordingly.
  • Provide topics and materials for cloud security-focused trainings
  • Research and propose new security tools to implement different kinds of controls and measures

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Security.
  • +3 of experience in similar roles
  • Solid knowledge of architecture and security baselines in cloud (AWS / GCP / Azure)
  • Experience in performing  cloud security assessment
  • Experience in implementing security cloud services 
  • Knowledge of cloud security architecture and configuration
  • Knowledge of web application security and secure development (SSDLC), APIs security
  • Fluent english (written and oral)

  • Good communication 
  • Ability to confidently present findings to those with either a technical or non-technical background.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and a critical thinker with attention-to-detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to self-organise and plan activities with commitment towards results.
  • Ready to learn new contents both from others or self-learned.
  • Passionate about self-improvement and suggesting improvements to processes or activities.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • InfoSec Certification (e.g. CISSP, Comptia Sec, CCSP, etc)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate / Certified Security Specialist
  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect / Professional Cloud Security Engineer
  • ISO27001 framework knowledge

  • Discretion: should have a mindset oriented to data protection and should be discrete by default. 
  • Curiosity: should not stay comfortable with the information provided but instead try to see beyond in order to find new opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Self-organised: should be capable of organising different kinds of tasks and assignments and ask for priority guidance if necessary.
  • Work under pressure in case of incidents.
