For our data centers in Milan, we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to coordinate and manage our day by day security operation. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative and professional. They have experience in delighting customers, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
The DSS will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating and prioritizing requests and tickets and for guiding and influencing the Contract Guard Force and other stakeholders. They will ensure local implementation of the cluster strategies into the security operations. They will cooperate with Data Center Security Managers to implement security strategies and to improve the overall operational security within our Data Centers. This position is to be 80% operational and 20% tactical. They will report to the Cluster Security Management.


Key job responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day activities and site security operations.
Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel.
Evaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data.
Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards.
Assist in the training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures.
Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated and/or assigned to the team.
Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.
Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures .
Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain uncompromising security standards.
Participate in site audits, inspections and walk-through.
Identifying, discussing and bringing forward issues and solutions to senior team members.

Basic Qualifications


1+ year of experience working in a standards-based security professional work environment.
1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement.
3+ years of continuous use of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to read, write and speak fluently using English language.
Ability to integrate into an international work environment with a willingness to travel on company business
Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a personal vehicle between company locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge of physical security systems and their operation, including access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance.
Experience with workflow ticketing systems.
Ability to deal with technically challenging situations and ask for guidance when required.
Demonstrates emotional intelligence to use mistakes and errors as learning opportunities.
Ability to deal with ambiguity in the absence of standard operating procedures, escalating to management as required.
Strong attention to details and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
