About You
You are currently living in one of the following States in America: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, or Utah.Reporting to the Sr. Security Manager, the Security Analyst monitors the production network and systems for security events, deploys new tools to assist with security monitoring, and participates in the process of obtaining and maintaining industry certifications such as AICPA SOC2 and ISO 27001. 

Responsibilities

  • Cyber Incident Response (CIRT Team); Security Architecture; Security Engineering roles
  • Monitor the Security email box for incoming issues and triage and respond as needed
  • Correlate activity across networks to identify trends and/or unauthorized use
  • Review alerts and data from sensors; create reports to meet audit requirements
  • Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of security events or applicability to Airship’s systems
  • Triaging Bug Bounty Program submissions and working with other teams to remediate valid issues
  • Recommend improvements to the Information Security Program to senior management
  • Plan, develop, and execute vulnerability scans of Airship’s information systems
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable configuration standards
  • Recommend security controls and/or corrective actions for mitigating technical and business risk
  • Produce vulnerability, configuration, and coverage metrics and reporting to demonstrate assessment coverage and remediation effectiveness

Experience

  • SIEM experience (Splunk and/or Rapid7 experience a plus)
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, SSCP, Security+, GIAC, or CISM
  • Proficient in at least one of the following scripting languages; Python, Ruby, PHP, etc.
  • 6 or more years of experience in computer related fields (IT, programming, etc.)
  • 3 years of experience directly related to cybersecurity
  • A four-year degree can substitute for 2 years of real world experience
  • College degree not required
