Senior Security Engineer, Applications

Evolve Security is searching for a Senior Security Engineer, Applications to lead and assist with the overall successful delivery of penetration testing assessments with a focus on application pen testing. Provide cybersecurity guidance and strategy to Evolve Security clients. Assist with vulnerability, application, and cloud pen testing assessments and other types of security strategy and architecture reviews. Perform technical penetration testing and application security assessment projects. Assist with building internal Evolve Security processes, procedures, templates and methodologies. Assist with development of technology that supports the delivery of cyber security services. Maintain and innovate testing and assessment methodologies and provide mentoring to less experienced teammates. **Work is at Employer's Office (123 North Upper Wacker Drive, Suite 300, Chicago IL, 60606) with no travel involved

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 1 year of progressively responsible experience in occupations related to Information Security Analysis.
• Must have 1 year of experience in the following: penetration testing, working with Windows and Linux operating systems, associated command-line administration tools (Bash / PowerShell).
• 1 year of experience working with application stacks including, web, mobile and API.
• 1 year of experience working with database platforms including SQL, MSSQL, or MySQL.
• 1 year of experience working with computer networking protocols.
• 1 year of experience working with a penetration testing and vulnerability testing software including Burp Suite, Fiddler, or Nessus.
• 1 year of experience scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
