Looking to make the next step up in your career? Within Solvinity the Security team is growing to meet the changing demands of both security and compliance from our clients and the assurance frameworks we work towards, such as SOC 1, SOC 2 and ISO2700x. The team is looking for a good internal communicator, with a proactive nature and keen attention to detail to strengthen the team.

Your growth

You will engage in a challenging as well as complex role within a growing company, supporting the Security team. A large amount of work is documented, and you will be exposed to all of the tools and techniques we use in assuring compliance. You will further develop by deep knowledge and establishing in-depth relationships with engineers, team members and external parties. We, in turn, will make sure you are focussed on your personal development outside of this with courses and training.

The position

As a Solvinity Security Officer, your role is important in helping Solvinity uphold its commitment to best practice compliance and security leadership. You will be working along with other Security team and Compliance team colleagues to:

  • Own the technical implementation of the vulnerability scanning processes, including installing and upgrading scanners, agents and supporting infrastructure;
  • Perform ad-hoc external security assessments of Solvinity publicly facing systems and working with internal teams through to resolution;
  • Script in shell, Python or PowerShell to automate standard Security and Compliance processes;
  • Participate in (security) project teamwork. On this year’s roadmap is the integration of our vulnerability management and service management tooling, along with redesigning our provisioning and hardening processes;
  • Perform other compliance-related scheduled tasks as assigned, such recurring firewall configuration reviews;
  • Share the ‘weatherman’ duties with other team members to handle the incoming requests in the security mailbox or our service management tool (ServiceNow);
  • Interact with other (DevOps engineering) teams on a daily basis;

Requirements

This is you

  • From a networking or vulnerability analyst background, the complexity of the vulnerability management implementation in Solvinity’s infrastructure will not faze you;
  • Practical experience and certification in penetration testing techniques, with a desire to extend your knowledge in this area;
  • Practical experience of Linux and Windows system management;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an inquisitive nature to detect issues others have not identified;
  • Fluent working ability in English and good professional understanding of Dutch is required;
  • Proactive and willing to take on responsibility to support the team where required;
  • You have completed a senior secondary vocational education or professionally oriented higher education programme (HBO+);

This is what we offer

  • Interesting and challenging work in a professional environment in which collegiality and collaboration determine the atmosphere, and you can determine your workweek flexibly;
  • At Solvinity you don’t have a job, you have a career: we invest in education and training and will give you the opportunity to develop your talents;
  • Plenty of space for new ideas;
  • 24 vacations days (extension possible to 26);
  • A collective pension scheme is naturally part of our excellent primary and secondary salary and benefits;
