Job summary
Amazon Corporate Security’s (ACS) mission is to provide a safe and secure workplace environment for employees. To support the delivery of its mission, ACS is searching for a Corporate Workplace Incident Management (WIM) Operations Support position to join the ACS-WIM and Threat Mitigation Team. This position reports to the Corporate WIM Operations Manager.
The Corporate WIM Operations Support position is responsible for day-to-day program and project management efforts for various WIM programs while also supporting operations leaders with incident management or investigations. This position requires strategic thinking to support in shaping the strategic direction of the WIM program and must have a fundamental understanding of threat management, workplace violence, investigations, and security operations. The Corporate WIM Operations Support position will develop outreach initiatives, support with writing white papers, present to senior leaders, and be responsible for support with team management. This position may support with the development and implementation of program manuals, policies, procedures, reports, strategic roadmaps, audits and other related efforts. The Corporate WIM Operations Support position is an instrumental support position for the ACS-WIM and Threat Mitigation Team.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, learns quickly, an effective problem solver, proactively anticipates and responds while maintaining flexibility and composure. Must be resourceful, forward-thinking with a history of performing exceptionally in an ambiguous, decentralized, and matrixed business environment. A proven track record of effective time management, taking initiative, working independently, delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations.
Key job responsibilities
• Program and project planning, organizing, managing, and implementing actions for multiple and complex projects across multiple organizations, stakeholders, and customers.
• Build collaborative cross-functional partnerships with Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal, Security Operations, Investigations, and other cross-functional partners.
• Identify opportunities to implement new threat management strategies, practices, tools or techniques to enhance program effectiveness and meet future scalability objectives.
• Measure program effectiveness by developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to make data-driven decisions to support continuous improvement of performance, operational processes, and inform risk mitigation actions.
• Help to drive global standardization of program delivery practices, business processes, and reporting.
• Organize, prioritize and appropriately handle time-sensitive, confidential information and ensure action required is addressed in a timely manner for programs and operations.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating program risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners to include effective communicating with, and influencing, senior-level stakeholders across multiple parts of the organization.
• Deliver detailed, well-organized, factual and timely investigative information, reports, assessments, and presentations.
• Use software, such as Adobe Acrobat products, Microsoft products, and a cloud-based case management system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Criminology, Social Work, Human Resources, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of experience in program and project management with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, scope requirements, stakeholder management, identify and mitigate risks, use data to drive decisions, and relentlessly drive results.
• 2+ years of experience in Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or related field.
• Fundamental understanding and competency using concepts, principles, and methods related to threat management, workplace violence, security operations, risk management and investigations.
• A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity, complexity, and various program and project life-cycles.
• 8+ years of experience in program and project management with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, scope requirements, stakeholder management, identify and mitigate risks, use data to drive decisions, and relentlessly drive results.
• 4+ years of experience in Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or related field.
• A proven history of building and managing effective teams, and motivating them to deliver high quality results.
• A proven history of building effective partnerships with internal and external, cross-functional teams.
• The ability to communicate vision and drive various constituencies to execution and work seamlessly with both technical and business teams.
