The Information Security Insights & Automation team at BetterUp operates at the intersection of security, software engineering, and data science. This team builds a comprehensive asset inventory and then overlays risk data to help us better understand where we have gaps and how to prioritize improvements. Using this model the Insights & Automation team helps other security teams with vulnerability management, resolving configuration issues, triaging security incidents, and understanding our enterprise risk portfolio.

What you’ll do:

As the manager of this team you will set the strategic vision and work to bring the vision to life using your skills in hiring, mentorship, and empathetic leadership. You will have a strong technical background in at least some of the domains related to this team (asset inventory, risk management, software engineering, etc) and you are able to lead a team of software engineers and data scientists.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

• Experience as a people manager in the information security domain.
• Experience as a software engineer or data scientist working on security teams.
• Communication skills that you can adapt as needed for working with individual contributors, executives, and everyone else in the organization.
• Exceptional grit and a willingness to work in a fast-paced startup setting.
