Principal Security Solutions Architect

Mapbox is seeking experienced security professionals to partner with our enterprise customers to solve and address their security and compliance questions. This individual is willing to challenge, dive deep into the details, and design a wide range of scalable security solutions across multiple use cases, influencing all levels within an organization. This role will provide thought leadership and operate with a high degree of autonomy and visibility within Mapbox’s leadership team. The candidate will be able to interpret the impacts of industry and regulatory changes, and track and report on industry trends.

What You'll Do

• Work with Mapbox customers and Partners to convey security best practices 
• Develop technical content, such as white papers, blogs, and reference materials
• Provide mentorship across Mapbox sales and solutions architecture teams regarding security and compliance 
• Deliver presentations and workshops at conferences and industry events 

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

• 10+ years of experience in design, implementation, and operation of information systems in large, complex enterprises in multiple industry verticals
• 7+ years of experience in information security across a wide range of technology platforms 
• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales 
• 2+ years of cloud computing experience 
• 2+ years of experience with compliance frameworks such as CIS or NIST CSF
• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM desired
