Senior Product Security Engineer - Remitly Application

About the Role:

You will be part of Remitly's Security Team and will report to the Director of Product Security. You will be focused on application product security for the core Remitly Send Money product. This is a remote position based in United States, optionally Seattle-based.

You Will:

• Conduct internal security assessments, threat modeling, and evaluate pull requests
• Triage vulnerabilities and reported findings for Remitly's environment, with code-level analysis of our proprietary implementation
• Build and operate automated security scanning integrated into security SDLC and CI/CD
• Develop and operate broadly impactful security systems as part of our Agile DevOps team
• Help guide security policy and culture throughout the company

You Have:

• A BS (MS preferred) in Cyber Security, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 6+ years of experience as a security or software engineer
• 2+ years of experience focused in application or product security
• Strong experience leading security reviews and conducting threat modeling exercises against product line
• Experience with tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanners
• Experience producing technical / architectural documentation and best practice guidance
• Experience developing in one or more programming languages, including Go or Java
