Capstone is seeking a Cybersecurity and Project Coordinator to support our Navy client based in Millington, Tennessee.
This position would be responsible for providing project coordination on all projects and cyber-related activities affecting the 39 BUPERS systems, over 500 workstations, support equipment, and numerous applications. The CPC will assist the PM in understanding the unique requirements of BUPERS ITSS, the short, mid, and long-term project task dates, and cyber IA-related activities. Ensures that team members understand how to use data collected.  Manages and administers integrated methods, enabling the organization to identify, capture, catalog, classify, retrieve, and share intellectual capital and information content. The methods may include utilizing processes and tools (e.g., databases, documents, policies, procedures) and expertise about the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the necessary planning, outreach, execution, and dissemination of lessons learned/after-action reports.
  • Provides support for all post-Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) and Cyber Security Inspection (CSI) and BUPERS IA Audit data/information resulting from a CSI/CCRI/ATO Audit conducted at BUPERS ITSS Millington TN.
  • Conducts CS compliance and A&A documentation validation assessments for legacy applications, systems, and networks as presented to BUPERS ITSS by BUPERS 073 IA team.
  • Attends meetings on behalf of the BUPERS ITSS response to IA teams reports, takes notes, prepares written feedback on the content and outcome of meetings, and follow-on tasks including recommendations and suggestions.
  • Assists in developing point papers, presentations, briefings, and other forms of written documentation on an as-needed basis to support A&A and CS functions.
  • Compiles and analyzes data, from authoritative sources supporting project management and IA vulnerabilities and 
  • Creates, maintains and coordinates an Integrated Master Project and IA schedule
  • Develops a SharePoint web-enabled monthly Dashboard.
  • Assists with office clerical work; assists users with qualification and certification-related issues and provides other CS support as the need arises (e.g., auditing, contingency planning, CS awareness training, risk assessments, etc.).
  • Constructs access paths to suites of information (e.g., link pages) to facilitate the access by end-users.    
  • Develops an understanding of the needs and requirements of information end-users.  
  • Leads efforts to promote the organization's use of knowledge management and information sharing.       
  • Works directly with Capstone’s Program Manager to plan, track, and provide status of active BUPERS ITSS projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any business administration, data management analysis, computer science, computer engineering, statistics, information assurance, or another IT-related field.  Four years of related experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • 10 Years of experience related to Navy IT.
  • Knowledge of database theory. 
  • Knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data security standards.         
  • Knowledge of BUPERS/NPC FM’s core business/mission processes.              
  • Knowledge of the principle methods, procedures, and techniques of gathering information and producing, reporting, and sharing information.      
  • Skill in conducting information searches.
  • Knowledge of use cases related to collaboration and content synchronization across platforms (e.g., Mobile, PC, Cloud).           
  • Demonstrated experience in the Navy RMF process across all Steps (1-6).
  • Demonstrated experience as a task-focused project manager.
  • Skill in creating, modifying, and managing project management displays like Gantt, Pert, and Slippage charts.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Qualifying DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).

Preferred

  • Experience as a Navy ISSM.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
