This Role: The Subscriptions and Periodicals team is looking for an analyst to support evaluating, preparing, and presenting cybersecurity intelligence to executive audiences based on existing research from Insikt Group. This intelligence will involve trends across cyberattacks, vulnerability exploitation, malware development, and third-party risk to align with Recorded Future product offerings. 

What you’ll do as a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst: 

  • Produce and review briefings for executive audiences regarding trends in cybersecurity
  • Understand how cybersecurity applies to the creation and maintenance of security programs by CISOs (Ex. the impacts of cyber intrusions, common cybersecurity tools and policies, frameworks for cyber risk, etc.)
  • Work under sometimes tight deadlines to support ad hoc discussions with CISOs at client organizations
  • Evaluate and incorporate research from Recorded Future’s Insikt Group into executive-level trends reports
  • Occasionally present to executive audiences at client organizations
  • Maintain awareness of trends affecting Recorded Future product offerings, including cyberattacks, vulnerabilities, malware, third-party risk, geopolitics, identity, and fraud
  • Maintain awareness of common and emerging security frameworks, toolsets, policies, and regulations
  • Collaborate with executives at Recorded Future who will deliver briefings in the form of slide decks, finished intelligence reports, and other contextual documentation

What you’ll bring to the Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst role (required):

  • 5+ years experience as a threat intelligence analyst or in similar position
  • Demonstrably strong writing and briefing ability, to be assessed via a writing sample and presentation
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience researching and analyzing cyber threats across either a) multiple industries or b) multiple timeframes (e.g., both weekly and quarterly)
  • Practical experience using threat intelligence analysis models such as MITRE ATT&CK, the Diamond Model, and the Cyber Kill Chain
  • Ability to convey complex technical and non-technical concepts in both written and verbal products
  • Experience using cyber threat intelligence tools such as DomainTools, VirusTotal, SHODAN, etc.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Javascript, C, etc. (scripting experience strongly preferred, but not required)

Additional skills/experience (preferred but not required):

  • Working knowledge of a foreign language, with preference for regions with more active or sophisticated cyberattackers
  • Demonstrable experience conducting cyber threat investigations 
  • Practical experience working with CISOs or other executives invested in cybersecurity programs
