Corestream is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Information Security Intern to join our growing team. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in Information Security and Technology Risk Management, then we want to work with you. Your work will include helping coordinate Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) assessments, monitoring the security of Corestream’s cloud-based environments, and conducting security event analyses. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. Hours per week: 20 to 30Internship duration: Spring/Summer 2022 until candidate returns to school in Fall.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with Setup/Configuration of the Information Security GRC application to facilitate annual SOC 2 Type 2 attestation process.
  • Assist with creating and tracking security controls within the GRC application.
  • Assist with third party security assessments and document them within the GRC application.
  • Participate in completing customer Security Request for Information (RFI) responses.
  • Assist with security operations reviews and assessments of the cloud environment.
  • Assist with creating and tracking security training and phishing testing programs.
  • Learn Corestream’s cloud-based services and applications related to product security
  • Participate in security governance related activities that pertain to maintaining and improving Corestream’s information security program.
  • Assist in tracking open security issues and escalate as necessary to ensure awareness and remediation within established SLA’s.

Skills and Experience

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate course of study for Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • Familiarity with security-related computer software in the areas of application security, event monitoring, risk management, and vulnerability management.
  • Good understanding of the latest security trends, especially those related to cloud-based services.
  • Must have a passion for Information Security with a strong desire to remain current in the field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities.
