Global Data Privacy Manager (Remote)

Treasure Data, Inc. is looking for a Global Data Privacy Manager to join the Legal Team and support Treasure Data’s Global Privacy Program. This is an exciting role with global exposure as the Global Data Privacy Manager will work with company stakeholders, with a key focus on supporting the implementation, oversight of compliance and conformity with Treasure Data’s Global Privacy Program, including applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Privacy Program Support and Risk Assessment: support the further development of Treasure Data Global Privacy Program and support privacy impact and risk assessments for new products and processes.
• Data Lifecycle Management: develop and maintain data maps, records of processing activities for Treasure Data, including linkages to privacy impact assessments.
• Written Procedures: assist with drafting and implementing policies and procedures as needed.
• Privacy Management Operations: enhance and support privacy operations management which can include managing data subject requests and further build out privacy operations management processes.
• Training & Awareness: assist with privacy training requirements and awareness campaigns as needed, including communications, content development and completion oversight.
• Third Party Management: support the privacy third party assessment process and, where applicable, the transfer impact assessment process
• Escalate and report on material privacy matters.
• Project manage and deliver assigned Privacy Program initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Undergraduate or professional degree in related specialty preferred)
• At least 2 years in a privacy compliance role, preferably within a technology company. Or equivalent industry or regulatory experience with strong focus on data privacy, particularly compliance with the GDPR
• A high standard of technical knowledge in data privacy obligations under the GDPR. Other regulations including CCPA would be an advantage.
• Experience fostering a data protection culture within the organization and helping to implement elements of the privacy program.
• Previous operational experience in using OneTrust a must
• CIPP/US, or CIPP/E preferred but not required
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational savvy and an ability to influence others
• Ability to think creatively to resolve issues
• Proactive and ability to work independently
• Strong project management skills a must
• True team player
• Fluency in English; Japanese a strong plus; strong written and verbal communication skills
