Job Description
Were you a developer and found yourself in operations or consulting? Are you a former operator and started writing code? We think you're one of us. We're looking for an accomplished Senior DevSecOps Consultant with demonstrated success in advising, designing, deploying and maintaining complex, highly performant environments. We also need someone with strong interpersonal and technical and project team leadership skills to make (and keep!) our clients happy (by making them successful) through a highly collaborative team environment. You will join a team of highly skilled and experienced DevOps and Security professionals who work with the latest tools, technologies, and approaches.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assess existing architecture and business processes to assist clients in designing and developing DevSecOps frameworks, policies, and solution architecture, in line with industry best practices
  • Work with clients and project teams to assess, design, implement and enhance DevSecOps and Automation solutions and processes  
  • Provide recommendations on suitable DevOps tooling and related solutions (e.g. infrastructure-as-code, network security, secrets management) based on client needs
  • Advise clients on Container Security and support deployment of containerized environments using Kubernetes and related solutions
  • Design, deliver and manage consulting engagements with clients large and small, across every industry
  • Lead project teams of consultants to successfully deliver outcomes for clients, including mentoring and assistance with upskilling
  • Create professional-client deliverables to clearly present recommendations and strategies using compelling formats including dashboards, presentations, and documentation
  • Continuous learning and upskilling on relevant technology products and methodologies, leveraging training resources provided
  • Support with practice and business development activities such as interviews, training, IP development, and scoping for client engagements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A College degree or/equivalent and 6+ years of related work experience, required
  • Experience building and deploying enterprise-grade infrastructure and applications using Continuous Integration and Delivery techniques 
  • Experience architecting solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform 
  • Experience with common cloud-native role-based access control mechanisms (IAM, Azure Active Directory, etc.)
  • Experience securing infrastructure and security configuration management using common third-party and cloud-native security tools (e.g. Prisma Cloud, AWS Config, Microsoft Sentinel)
  • Experience securing and deploying Kubernetes-based environments (e.g. EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift, etc.)
  • Proficiency in scripting programming languages – e.g. Python, JSON, Ruby, C#, Powershell, YAML
  • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and configuration management (e.g. Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Cloud formation, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience with Agile Practices like Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD
  • Effectively applies knowledge and skills of software development and testing to solve a range of problems
  • Experience comparing similar cloud and cloud security technologies, their capabilities, and alternative solutions
  • Familiar with common enterprise-wide logging architectures for both infrastructure, security, and application logs
  • Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc)
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services
  • Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies
  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and making timely and prudent technical risk decisions
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated
  • Technical writing experience
