As a Cybersecurity Architect, you'll have the opportunity to work with industry leading technologies at scale to protect our products from an always evolving threat landscape. This hands-on position will be responsible for Nielsen’s security architecture strategy and execution; and will collaborate with other cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are effective and in alignment with Nielsen’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall security architecture strategy
  • Identify, develop, and maintain a consistent security reference architecture across cloud and globally distributed data centers.
  • Research, identify, design, and implement cybersecurity technologies globally
  • Proactively work with other teams (cybersecurity, vendors, and product development) to ensure solutions are in alignment with Nielsen’s strategic goals.
  • Participate in definition and prioritization of work executed by other teams (network operations, cloud operations, etc.) based on risk profiles/ threat models.
  • Consult in project-based initiatives that are not driven by cybersecurity
  • Support vendor relationships for cybersecurity technologies and work with vendor support during defect root cause and corrective investigations
  • Identify and foster stakeholder engagement across the business in order to be successful with these responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing architecture roadmaps aligning with enterprise architecture principles
  • Strong understanding of fundamental security technologies such as Firewalls, Secure Web Gateway, AV/ EDR, DLP, URL Filtering, SIEM
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, standards and controls (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience providing and validating security requirements related to system design, implementation and business processes
  • Knowledge of security industry standards (ISO, CIS, NIST, etc.) and best practices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate technical details in a clear, understandable manner
  • Security certification such as SANS/GIAC, CISSP, CEH, OSCP
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Information Systems or Cybersecurity related discipline; or 5 years of direct network/ security experience
