Application Security Team Lead

Software! We are a team of individuals passionate about security and looking for a team leader to share that passion and improve its practices.

As an Application Security Team Lead, you will lead a team of application security professionals and work closely with Genetec's hundreds of developers and QA testers to help them design, build, deploy and maintain secure applications.

What your day will look like:

• Manage a team of application security professionals by doing day-to-day supervision, setting objectives and performance review
• Be accountable for the scoping and execution of the various tasks accomplished by the team
• Align the team priorities with Genetec's cybersecurity strategic vision
• Collaborate with the product teams to improve the security of Genetec products
• Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in the recruitment and training of new employees and interns
• Propose innovations and enhancements that would improve the productivity of the team or the security of the products

About you:

• 5 years of experience in application security, software security or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in a leadership position
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Computer Security or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion about anything related to computer security
• Must be functional in French and English (the working environment is mostly in French)

Technical Requirements:

• Programming experience
• Experience with Threat Modeling, Architectural Risk Analysis, or other security risk identification methods
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
• Knowledge of software architecture review and design pertaining to security

Great if you have:

• Experience in managing a product security initiative at a large company
• Experience with the security aspects of Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of the security aspect of web technologies such as JavaScript, Ajax, Browser Security (CORS, same origin policy)
• Experience finding vulnerabilities in products (bug bounty, CTF)
• Security Certifications
