SUMMARY
The Senior Systems Engineer, Developer Relations is a key member of the Technical Partnerships and Alliances team as a mentor and example of best practices. This role works closely with the Solution Partner team to create and maintain technical resources that enable customers and partners to build valuable integrations using Jamf developer tools, such as, APIs, webhooks, AppConfig and more.

As the primary technical point of contact for partner organizations who want to learn about, integrate with, and go to market alongside Jamf, this role is uniquely focused on building a compelling and unique tech-enabled value story with partner organizations focused on Jamf’s current or future customers. This role helps customers and partners identify opportunities to extend the Jamf ecosystem and provides resources to simplify the creation of solutions that capitalize on these opportunities. Working directly alongside the Solution Partner Manager, this role inspires the art of the possible with our current and future integration partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Outline systems and workflow best practices that are built for scale and can be embraced across the entire Developer Relations team
  • Inspire the art of the possible in new potential partners through Apple’s MPP program, through the Jamf Marketplace, relevant industry events, or from other sources
  • Act as a natural mentor to other less-experienced members of the Developer Relations Engineering team
  • Clearly communicate complex or technical concepts with others inside and outside of the organization.
  • Align with the Solution Partner team to provide resources and escalated support for partners building integrations with the Jamf ecosystem.
  • Conceptualize and share solution ideas with partners to meet market needs
  • Engage in active promotion of Jamf’s Marketplace strategy and marketing efforts that are designed to attract new integration partners into Jamf’s ecosystem
  • Create and maintain resources for the Jamf Developer Portal.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of technologies within the Jamf ecosystem and functional area.
  • Identify upcoming product changes that may impact consumers of Jamf developer tools.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to Jamf Product and Engineering teams regarding Jamf developer tools and integration frameworks.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of professional software integration or development experience in a Cloud, SaaS, and/or enterprise software environment. (Required)
  • Experience with endpoint, network, Threat and/or cloud security tools (Preferred)1
  • Strong communication skills. (Required)
  • Skills with one or more of the following languages:
    • Python, Swift, JavaScript, Shell, Ruby. (Required)
  • Experience working with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs. (Preferred)
  • Experience working with code hosting and version control platforms (GitHub preferred).
  • Experience building and/or supporting product integrations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with macOS, iOS, and tvOS in a professional setting.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) OR directly relevant career experience.
  • Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Jamf 100, Jamf 200, Jamf 300, Jamf 400.
